The Best Proposal/Engagement Spots in Sioux Falls, SD

Wall Lake Park

I might be a little biased since this is where I got engaged, but this is truly one of my favorite spots around Sioux Falls. I love the beach vibe, and the lake and sand shoreline are gorgeous, especially during sunset.

Palisades State Park

The most stunning backdrop on this side of South Dakota (in my opinion). After a little hike, there are some gorgeous spots to drop down on one knee. Whether you want to be surrounded by rocks, have a bridge as your background, or see the water gliding by, you’ll find a spot worthy of an engagement celebration.

Rooftop

Who doesn’t love a rooftop view? After a wonderful evening together, ending it with a restaurant and a promise of forever is a great way to close. For extra points, time your proposal to be right before the sunsets! Afterward, a walk downtown with a photographer can make some great memories. Where Your First Date Was

A full circle moment can be so meaningful and cute! Maybe you met at a restaurant, the movies, or a park; either way, it’s adorable to go back to the place where it all started. Call to see if they can make special accommodations for you as well. Going to the certain spot you first talked might be difficult, but if you can make it fun, that’s even better (Think rose petals on the table you sat at, your names up on a movie sign, or a coffee cup that says ” Will you marry me)

Your Favorite Spot To Go To Together

When you’ve been living in Sioux Falls for a couple of years, you’re bound to find some places you go to frequently. Your favorite date night spots can also be your proposal spot! Especially if it’s an anniversary fav, so adorable!
This can also be a park where you walk the dog, or the coffee shop that makes her ecstatic to visit. Get creative with what you think she would love!
Set up a little display if you want (check Pinterest!) and guide her to both of your favorite places to go. Whether that’s your favorite seats, place to stop and look around, etc.!
