Photography in Sioux Falls, SD
Hello there!! I’m Julia Curry, a Sioux Falls based wedding photographer who travels around South Dakota to areas like Brandon, Tea, Harrisburg, Dell Rapids, Lennox, and more. I’ve been a photographer for 8 years, and I love capturing all types of stories: branding, couples, family, maternity, milestone/newborn, senior, and wedding photography.
I want to be your lifetime photographer. Capturing all of life’s precious moments. My dream is to be your photographer for the engagement, the wedding, the maternity, the newborn, the family, and the senior. Walking beside you for every chapter of your life. Not just as a photographer, but as a familiar face and friend. Real connections take time, but I hope that as we grow together, I get the honor of capturing your story along the way.
If I’m not capturing photography sessions during golden hour or tearing up at someone’s wedding, I love watching movies with my mom and dad, playing games with my older brother, sharing the wonderful parts of my wedding days with my husband, and going out for coffee with friends. On rainy days when I don’t have many weddings to edit, I enjoy reading books while snuggled up under a blanket, painting landscapes, and visiting local thrift shops.
Preserving your memories is my goal. As a photographer, nothing is more heartwarming than getting to cherish your loved ones with the photos I take. One of my favorite things to capture during weddings or other photography sessions is candid moments: the emotions people show like there’s no camera around. I want to capture the warmth and happiness of being with the people you love, and you being naturally yourself.

BTS of Capturing Wedding Photography
I work together with my couples to make a timeline that is catered to what you pictured the wedding day would look like. I also enjoy discussing photo locations, must-have poses, and different vendors.
The rest is history!
After you’ve tied the knot, I will send you a sneak peek of the photos to come within 48 hours after the wedding. After I carefully cull, edit, and organize your images, your finished gallery will be sent to you in 6 weeks. You then have a chance to purchase a customized wedding album, as well!
What about for other sessions? (Engagement, Maternity, Family, Milestone/Newborn, Senior, Etc.?) Here’s a quick guide into the process.
After booking your session with me, I will chat with you about location recommendations, outfit ideas, and any questions you may have! During the photoshoot, I will prompt you with different poses and find some great photo spots! Your finished photos will be back to you within 2 weeks after your session.
